Lakeview 19 v. New Life Chicago 17
Aon Fields

It was a day marked by looming storm clouds and a Thor-Guard Lightning detection system that missed the real lightning but went off with none in sight. Game was fairly close at the beginning trading a few runs here and there, until Lakeview broke out 7 runs in the top of the fifth. New Life’s defense came back after that allowing only 4 more runs in the last two innings and picking up a few runs themselves to keep it somewhat reasonable. But it all changed in the bottom of the seventh when it was 19 to 10, New Life’s bats came to life and put up seven runs to load the bases with two outs. Alas, it was not enough as the last hit went foul for the third strike. Congrats to the two teams for a well fought game.
